The Hornby Island Mountain Bike Association (HIMBA) is a group of like-minded individuals who share a passion for the trails on Hornby Island. In fact, most of the trails on the island were built and are maintained by the members of HIMBA.
Working with the Regional Parks Committee and it’s Contractor, we keep track of the work needed on the trail system, and strive to keep the trails open and in good shape.
HIMBA originally started as the Trail Maintenance Fund, first created from the profits of Bike Fest. Now we take as our mandate to maintain the trails on Hornby Island for Hikers and Bikers, and for future generations of appreciators.
We use 100% volunteer efforts in our chosen work. Sales of the detailed trail and island Map, and Trail Crew T-shirts, available at the bike shop are our sole source of funding.
